MedRed combines decades of experience in combat casualty care and medical rehabilitation with a deep understanding of Departments of Defense and Veteran Affairs clinical workflows. For MedRed, Information Technology is never an end in itself but always a means to better, more efficient care for our active duty military, veterans and those who serve them.
MedRed was established in 2004 and since 2007 has been working as a Prime and Sub-Contractor designing, building, deploying and certifying medical Information Technology on Federal networks. MedRed is a member of the Leidos Partnership for Defense Health team awarded the Defense Healthcare Management System Modernization (DHMSM) contract by the U. S. Department of Defense and is a corporate member of the Department of Veteran Affairs Open Source Electronic Health Record Agent (OSEHRA).
MedRed’s TBI Toolbox application was selected as winner of the VA Industry Innovation Competition. MedRed's Health eTime medical scheduling application beat out 40 other entrants, many from much larger companies, to finish first in the VA’s 21st Century Medical Scheduling Challenge. Those are just two of the reasons that in 2015 MedRed was named by FEDHEALTHIT as a leading small business with domain expertise in clinical care delivery and health information systems.
MedRed has a solid understanding of how to design, build, deploy and certify secure medical information technology on Federal networks. MedRed applications have been rigorously tested for Information Assurance and security and have been certified by Departments of Defense and Veterans Affairs accreditation bodies.
For example, in addition to Department of Veteran's Affairs Information Assurance Certification, the TBI Toolbox application has been the recipient of an Army Certificate of Networthyness from U. S. Army 9th Signal Command and a DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) certification from the Department of the Navy. The application has also received DIACAP certification and an Authority to Operate from the Joint Task Force National Capital Region Medical (JTF CapMed) and the Defense Health Agency.
